One column pushing another in the same row down

Hey,
I’m currently trying to use SiteOrigin to make a front page layout, but I’m having a problem. No matter what I seem to try, one column with news posts is pushing the column next to it down? I want both of them sat side-by-side displaying posts from different categories.

I’ve tried padding, I’ve tried margins, I’ve tried using different widgets entirely, I’ve tried making three columns with the middle one empty, but nope. Nothing seems to work.

    Just to let you all know, I think it’s fixed. My one bar was slightly narrower than the other, but correcting that appears to make everything work correctly on the page now.
