Hi,

I have just created my first website and I am really delighted with the results. I have added ‘Share’ buttons and have had a problem with the image and description that was being displayed when anyone ‘Shared’ my website to Facebook.

I have fixed the ‘image’ issue but cannot fix the description issue.

I changed the image via SEO Yoast, Social, Image URL but cannot find a section in which I can change the description.

I read articles on how to fix the problem, suggesting I change the description through Yoast SEO, Social. While there is a section to change the image, there does not appear to be one to change the description (as described in the articles I’ve read).

Please can you advise how I can change the og description which appears whenever anyone shares my website on Facebook.

    Hi Sparkle,

    You can alter the description in Yoast by editing the snippet.

    You may need to clear your Facebook Open Graph cache using the Sharing Debugger. Type your website URL in and then submit it. Click Scrape Again.
