Not saving changed image settings

7 years ago · Last reply by Reinis Grīnvalds 7 years ago

Hello!

I want to change image settings, but when I update the page, settings are not saved.
On the page edit view I press to edit image for image block and below inserted image has 2 buttons (edit image and replace image). I press ‘edit image’, builder opens image details view, on ‘display settings’ section I want to change ‘Link to’ value from None to media file or other. Then I just press update, done and update page, my changes has gone.
Any ideas what`s wrong?

Regards,
Reinis.

    Hi Reinis,

To confirm, what is the name of the Image widget you’re using? SiteOrigin Image? Image? Or something else?
Also, are you using the latest version of SiteOrigin Page Builder (2.6.3)?

I`m using 2.6.2 version, but after I update to 2.6.3, the issue still exists.
I uploaded screenshot, to understand better the problem.
    1 step
    2 step
    3 step
On third step I want to choose media file, and then do updates and page saving. And when I go back all 3 steps, this change hasn`t saved.

    Hi Reinis,

Thanks. Please note that the Image widget you’re using is the default WordPress image.
Can you please try clearing your browser cache to see if that helps? If not, would it be possible for you to try changing the image again and after it doesn’t happen, could you please send me the contents of your console? Please refer to this guide on how to access your browser console.

    Hello,
Browser cache didn`t help and in console was clean (no errors). But I did one test – I setup clean wordpress project and installed newest version of SiteOrigin Page Builder (2.6.3).
    1. Attempt, I added image widget to the page, choose image and set ‘Attachment Display Settings > link to’ option to media file, saved the page, changed image state to none and saved, it worked. Also if I changed it back to media file and saved, it worked perfect.
    2. Attempt, I added image widget to the page, choose image and set ‘Attachment Display Settings > link to’ option to none, saved the page. Save image state to ‘media file’. Now when I go to image settings, state hasn`t changed, it`s still is as ‘none’.
I really don`t understand how it`s possible, but at least found the solution for this issue.

    Regards,
    Reinis.
