Not Receiving Contact Form Responses

Hi,

I’m using the SO contact form on my new site and I’ve just tested it. It gives a success message after the user submits the message, but then I don’t receive an email.

Form was originally set up to send to my Gmail account. Just tried switching to my Dreamhost webmail account (which I didn’t really want to use but read somewhere that you have to do this). Still no email with my test message. Tried clearing cache, too.

Tried using different contact form plugins, exact same issue, so I’m guessing this isn’t a problem with your contact form, but I was hoping you could point me in the right direction?

    Hi Sophie,

    This sounds like you’re not able to send emails in general.

    To clarify, have you checked your spam folders? If they’re not present, I would give the following articles a run through:

    Troubleshooting WordPress contact forms – Dreamhost.
    How do I configure a WordPress SMTP plugin? – Dreamhost (use this if the above doesn’t help)
    Email troubleshooting checklist for escalation – Dreamhost (please follow this if the above two don’t help).
