Not able to edit text formatting in text widget in page builder

I can not edit text on my home page. I am using page builder and I am trying to chanbe the spacing and fonts and bold some text in a text widget…I have put spaces to manually make two columns and the spaces are getting stripped out too so everything looks like it is coming out on top of the other. I also can not change the font or bold any text in this widget…help?

    Have you tried using the Visual Editor widget instead of the Text widget? To get access to the Visual Editor widget, first install:
