Not able to add a frame to the Hero widget

8 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 8 years ago

I don’t know why this is happening but since a couple of days
I’m not able to add a new frame to my hero frames in the siteorigin Hero widget.

The button ‘add’ simply doesn’t respond. I can’t edit the frames I already have either.
It simply doesn’t want to open. The only thing I can do is view the preview of the widget. That’s all.

There’s a sign of a circle that implies that the page is loading.
But nothing is really happening, not even after a while.

Is there anything I can do to make the widget working again?
Because this is getting quite frustrating.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Eva,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
