Hello,

I’m a new user of your products, from France, thanks a lot for all these great themes and plugins.
For the moment, I use the North theme, page builder, the CSS editor, and the widget bundle.
I began to built a multisite design, a kind of multiblog. I created a home page (static page of one site), that redirect to 4 other sites, which will be 4 different blogs.
I began to build the “CB Amplification” one, and I wanted it to appear just as the Shop page in the North theme demo, or as the Snapshot demo homepage. I mean with the articles appearing on the homepage as clickable images, with a global text description above. But I can’t succeed in doing it. The Snapshot theme would be ok, but I need a full width article page. So I hoped I could use the Shop page model in the North theme, without the prices or “add to card button. Is it possible to do that, and how ? I can’t find it…

The address : www.cyrilbouysse.com
I hope my english and my request are clear enough, thanks !

Regards,
Cyril.

    Hello,

    Some news…
In fact, all I need is a post loop grid ! (I’m a WP beginner). But the North theme doesn’t have one. So after some researches, I tried a few things :
    – I used the post carousel, which is very nice, but it’s not a grid. Only 6 posts are displayed.
    – I used the blog grid widget of the ultimate addon bundle, but the look is really old fashioned…
    – I even try to change the theme, to have a post loop grid. I used Vantage, but the global design doesn’t suit my needs, and I miss the look of the pictures of the post carousel.

So, is it possible to have the design of the post carousel but with a grid ?
Perhaps disable the 2 slider arrow buttons of the carousel ?… With a magical CSS command, you know ! ;o)

    Thanks for your help,
    Cyril.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Cyril,

You have two options of doing this.

Dedicated recent posts page – limited control
Please navigate to WP AdminSettingsReading and set the Front page displays to A static page (select below) and then set your home page in the Posts page dropdown.

Please note that WordPress will not allow you to make any adjustments to the page contents.

    Post Loop widget
Please add a post loop widget to your homepage and select the desired template – you’re likely after Blog Loop.

To make the homepage full width, please open the home page and scroll down to the Page Settings box and set the Page Layout to Full Width.

    Hi Alex,

Thanks a lot for your reply. But that’s not exactly what I need… My english is perhaps not clear enough, sorry.
So I try to explain. Here is the URL : http://www.cyrilbouysse.com/cbamp/

I already have a static page as my homepage (which is full width, no problem with that), because I need a global text description for the website. But I wanted to add all my posts, as a grid, on this homepage.
I tried the blog loop, but the North theme doesn’t allow a grid design. it just has the default Blog Loop display which doesn’t suits me.
So I used the Post Carousel, which is great (small and clickable pictures, with only the title of the post). But it only displays 6 posts in one line, with the arrow slider buttons.

Is it a way to see all my posts as a grid, with the Post Carousel design ? Or perhaps modify the carousel to show 3 or 4 lines of 6 posts ?

    Thank you,
    Cyril.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Cyril,

Ah, okay. So, no, that’s not possible. Sorry mate. :(

I would recommend switching to the Blog Widget included with the Widgets for SiteOrigin plugin as it’ll allow you to create a nice grid that will likely better than what the post carousel with two rows would anyway.
