North Theme, search page problems

Hi,

Seems I have 2 problems with the search page on my website.
I’m using the North theme. Which is looking really great. Very versatile.
Unfortunately on the search page I get the whole content of every page when I search for a key word.
If I go to the content-search.php file and change:

<?php the_excerpt(); ?>

to

<?php get_the_excerpt(); ?>

The search page will only show the page titles.
It’s better but not really what I was looking for. I would like to show “the excerpt” with it.

Also below the pagination the page loads “extra” content if you scroll all the way down. It looks like it loads the whole search results…?
Could the problems be related?

When the page doesn’t need any pagination it doesn’t load the “extra” content.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jaydee

    Thanks for reaching out.

    the_excerpt should be producing an automatic excerpt if a manual one is added. If you’d like us to take a look at your site without your customizations in place (with the parent theme activated assuming you made a child), we’d be happy to do so.

    With regards to the search results page, that looks like Jetpack’s Infinite Scroll module. It doesn’t look like you’re using that module on your blog page so you could go to Jetpack > Settings and disable it, assuming I haven’t missed something here.

    Really nice site by the way, great use of North, thanks :)
