Hi , im using a child theme based on the North one, i really like it, altho im trying to understand on how can i change the search behaviour (the one from the headear search bar), so that when i search something instead of doing
/?s=stuff
is doing
/community/?wpfs=stuff
this way if my noob theory is correct i can basically use the search from the theme, to show me results on the community forum that im currently using ?
thanks
Hi Alfsici,
You might be able to yes. It all depends on if the forum allows for the data to be searched in the desired manner. It should be noted that as North is a theme we’re not allowed to adjust the search functionality (as that’s what a plugin is for) and the search functionality you’re referring to is the default WordPress search functionality. This obviously also means I cannot help you change it due to it being a large customization.
I can however point you in the right direction. Give this article a read for a technical guide on how to do this or give one of these plugins a try.
Hi Alex,
thank you so much for the reply, i will have a look into this, at the moment i resolved (the forum plugin did not convince me) so for the moment everything works fine .
kind regards
