Hi,

Guessing this would be a theme support question.
When marking a product as hidden the product is hidden on product/archive pages but can be found through search function in header menu.
Normal behaviour or bug?

Using North theme, latest version 1.3.20.

Kind Regards,
Daniel Nystrom

    Hi Danne,

Unfortunately, I can’t seem to replicate this issue. Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

Please note that logged in users that have access to edit the post will still see hidden posts in search results.

    Hi Alex,

http://govest-cycling.com use the search function in header and search for “body”
Top search result you’ll get a “Kassettbody GoVest”, even when logged out. Other users can find this product as well.
Product is marked as “hidden” in product settings.

    Kind Regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

Oh. Sorry, I actually forgot about the WooCommerce visibility setting for a second there. Okay so this is a actually a long-standing general WooCommerce issue. WooCommerce won’t directly fix this issue as it’ll be unreliable and will likely result in degraded performance overall. There is, however, a possible solution linked here.

I recommend using the WordPress visibility functionality over the standard WooCommerce visibility as it’ll cover the entire site rather than on WooCommerce pages only.

    Thank you Alex!
Will check that. Should have mentioned Woocommerce in my first post :)
