No Page Template settings for events created with events manager

Howdy,

in the customizer there’s no ‘page template setting’ for event pages created with events manager plugin (there’s no page template settings for pages and posts, too), but I would desperately need this setting to set events to ‘full width, with sidebar’.

https://spk0.blogtogether.de/
WordPress version 4.9.4–de_DE
Theme SiteOrigin north version 1.4.4
SiteOrigin Page Builder version 2.6.3
Events manager version 5.8.1.3

Bug or feature? Could you imagine a workaround? Thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards

Michael

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Huegelkind,

    Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceCustomize, Page Template Settings. Please navigate to one of your events and then check the template list for the events post type. Is it present? If not, can you please link me to the events plugin you’re using so I can run some tests?

    Hi Alex,

    it’s a testsite, so don’t you worry about security issues ?. Would you have a chance to take a closer look at my website if I buy a Site Origin Premium license?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Huegelkind,

    Sorry for the delay.

    If you’re not using a child theme, please install Code Snippets and add the following PHP to WP AdminSnippetsAdd New:

    function add_page_settings_support_event() {
    	add_post_type_support( 'event', 'so-page-settings' );
    }
    add_action( 'init', 'add_page_settings_support_event' );

    If you are using a child theme, please add the above PHP to your functions.php.

    Unfortunately, while this will allow for the page settings to appear, certain settings may not work and sadly, this isn’t something we can directly fix as its due to custom Event Manager templates.

    Hi Alex,

    Hi Alex,

    sorry to say, it doesn’t work. Customizer Shows only Page Templates for „Search Results“ and „Not Found“. Not for Pages and Posts. See attached screenshot.

    Kind regards

    Michael

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Michael,

    Unfortunately, we’re unable to process attachments at this time. Can you please upload the images to a third party image hosting site?

    Also, to clarify, when you open an event do you see the page settings box on the right? If not, can you please confirm that you’ve activated the snippet? Regretfully, I didn’t mention this in my previous reply.

    Hi Alex,

    the snippet is activated.
    In events the page setting box is displayed
    In custom post types the page settings box is not displayed.
    In Appearance/Customize/Page Template settings I can’t find default settings for standard wordpress pages, posts, or events, but for custom post types.

    For the moment, I have what I need for my current project, so we could close the ticket.

    I have to work this weekend, so I’ll stop here. Next week I’ll purchase a premium license, set up a complete test case and open a new ticket.

    Thank you for your help, 5 * from me!
