No Multiple Footers in Vantage?

When watching the Vantage video, it showed multiple footer areas. I thought that feature came with the premium theme since I did not have it.

Now that I have upgraded to premium, I still do not have that feature. The video is very misleading!

I wanted to use multiple widgets in the footer area in 3-4 sections. Is there a way I can do this?

Thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Melodye

If you go to Appearance->Widgets from your dashboard, you can add any number of widgets to your footer area.

When you click on the widget you want you will see a selection of the areas you can place it. Click on Footer and click Add Widget. To the right of the widgets list you will see your areas list, expand the footer widget by clicking on the small arrow on the right of the label, and you will see the widget has been added. Once you have added all the widgets you need you can re-arrange them by dragging.

Hope this helps and let us know how you get on

    Hi Melodye

    Thanks for reaching out.

Sorry to hear about the disappointment. Sounds like we’ll be able to work past it though. Are you referring to Tyler Moore’s Vantage video or our own? Our internal video refers to the following, the Vantage footer will automatically split into columns as you add widgets. Four widgets added will give you four footer columns. Other themes have specific widget areas for each column, we’re just handling that in the background to simplify things.

Hope this along with the reply from Magus helps explain the setup.

Thanks so much to Andrew and Magus. I’m a bit impatient and went through the threads to find a solution. I ended up using the page builder inside the footer to achieve what I needed.

If I feel the need to change this, I now have other options!

    Thanks again!
