No control over image sizes

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

How come there are instances when I have no control over the size of images. Example; Page and Blog features images show up huge. I I use a smaller image , then blown up and grainy. If I embed a video that has size (width and height specified), the theme ignores this and enlarges the video to a huge size.

Please let me have control over the sizes of my images. Very annoying. Thanks.

Scott

    Hi Scott

    Thanks for reaching out.

    To change the featured image sizes you can use the Simple Image Sizes plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/. Once you’ve made a change you’ll need to run Regen Thumbnails: http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    FitVids is a script the theme uses to ensure videos dynamically re-size to the viewing device size. If you want to stop FitVids loading for a particular video, wrap the embed code in the following div:

    <div class="fitvidsignore">
    <!-- Insert video embed code below this line -->
    </div>
