“No collapse behaviour is not working on some mobile browser”

Why “”no collapse”” is not working on some mobile browser based on “”chrome webview”” like UC browser, opera mini. Basically all browser that use chrome webview (90% browser in playstore is based on this webview)

for example like (my sandbox test site):
=> https://sandbox.organica-labs.com/caldera_forms_preview/
the xxx must be in row but sometime it use “column” instead. Please fix it.

    Hi Zovonewe,

    I’ve had a look at your linked page on mobile and the row isn’t collapsing for me. To confirm, are you stating it isn’t collapsing for you in Chrome, UC Browser, or any other Webkit browser? Can you please clarify what version of WebView is installed on your device (you can apparently find this version by navigating to Settings > Apps > Android System WebView)?

    Hi Alex. This is 100& a bug of siteorigins.

    I made a screenshot for my “live site” “using BrowserStack for all android device (all of them using default browser app not chrome)

    The phone image should me in “row” format no matter what (because i turn on the no collapse). The result even worse, it showing in “column” format for all device:

    => https://www.browserstack.com/screenshots/2b51987c8801155e9c275e8b9af3ab06619bd534

    For chrome browser it is okay (i tested it with 3 android device), dont have any problem at all.

    So the problem when the site is viewed using “webview” or original stock android browser.

    Please fix it.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Zovonewe,

    Thank you for the link. I’ve looked up most of the devices where this issue occurred and they’re all really old technology wise – 4+ years, the oldest one appears to be released in early 2011. I’ve run a few checks and it appears those devices simply don’t support flexbox which is what we’re using for layouts now. This means that they will revert to the old legacy layout which doesn’t support Collapse Behavior as the collapse behavior was introduced alongside the new layout engine.

    Unfortunately, we’re not currently adding additional features for legacy layout engine at this time. I’m sorry.
