Ninja Forms shortcode does not work in SiteOrigin Editor Widgit

I was having a problem where my Ninja Forms plugin broke when being activated alongside SiteOrigin Widgits after recent updates. The symptoms were that the Ninja Forms would not load on the front end… they would just continuously show an animated circle as a placeholder for the form (loading image).

I just wanted to respond to this issue because I was able to resolve it with an obvious workaround that I should have tried weeks ago. I found that using the SiteOrigin “Rich Text” Editor widgit was breaking the Ninja Forms shortcode from including properly. The solution was to just use the WordPress “arbitrary text or HTML” widgit to include the Ninja Forms shortcode instead.

No need to uninstall SiteOrigin Widgits. Hopefully this helps someone else from beating their head against the wall.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Delliott,

To clarify, did you have the Automatically add Paragraph setting (it’s below the editor) ticked in the SiteOrigin Editor widget? That setting is known to cause issues with the Ninja Forms shortcode.

    Hi Alex,

The paragraph tags option was disabled/unchecked at the time. Of course, WordPress seems to have a mind of its own with adding the stupid p tags… so maybe it never registered properly.
