Hi,
I brought this site live yesterday & all the images looked beautiful. Today I uploaded two additional products and the image for the shop-catalog size are suddenly different from rest of store. I hadn’t changed any image settings, but I’ve double checked them in WP, Woocommerce, and Simple Image Size plugin and they all looked the same as original. The original settings were:
*180×180 thumbs,
*300×300 shop-catalog,
*600×600 shop-single size
(all were set to no cropping, yet the catalog-size images were always hard cropped and I just left it that way.) However, The newly uploaded 2 catalog-size images are NOT cropped, and are blurry. Yet the thumbnails and shop single size images are perfect.
I’ve now gone into WP, Woo, and Simple Image Size plugin and reduced the shop-catalog size to 180×180 in an effort to reduce these, but clearing cache and regenerating the new images did not show any change. I’ve also been trying some of the CSS codes I’ve found here with regards to image sizing, but nothing has worked.
(I apologize if this is unclear. To see what I mean, If you visit the shop and do a search for “bookmark” you’ll see 4 images; two originals that are cropped but clear, and the two new images that are full length and blurry. )
My intention is to have all 4 catalog-size images be identical in size and clear. I’ve run out of ideas. Can you help figure this out?
Thanks much!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kl13

    I’m not sure I can offer any advice beyond the steps you’ve already taken. We can perhaps take a look for you and see if you’ve missed anything.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

    Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

    Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Hi, I Work Here

    I think the problem here is:

    1. Hard crop is not being used. That’s fine….but:

    2. All the other images have dimensions as follows:

    225 x 313

    Which means they get cropped to:

    129 x 180

    The problem images have original dimensions of:

    225 x 150

    so they get cropped to:

    180 x 120.

    The problem images have a height of less than 180 so the height can’t be cropped to the same height as the other images.

    Thank you for taking the time to check into my catalog image size problem. I really appreciate your help, and your reply gave me some more ideas to try. I’ve redone some of the image sizes and regenerated, but the catalog size images are still just too big. I think this may not be a Vantage issue – The thumbnails and single product sizes are perfect. It’s only the catalog size that’s coming out larger.
    I’ll continue to play with it and if I fix it, I’ll post the solution here.

    Once again, thanks for going *above and beyond*. You guys have really great customer service!

    I’m still working on these catalog-image sizes for the Category, “bookmarks” on my site. You can see this category at http://brightcreationsart.com/product-category/bookmarks/. I’ve set the catalog-image size to 300×300 and regenerated all images. Inspecting elements shows the catalog-image size for the bookmarks to be 100×300 yet they appear far larger in length that the stated 300. They appear to be as wide as other catalog-images that are , for example showing in inspecting elements as 214×300, and, of course, much longer.

    Since inspecting elements shows them to be 100×300, but they appear to be far larger, I’m wondering if there might be a Custom CSS or hack that might allow me to force this specific category of “bookmarks” to conform? They *were* smaller at one time, and I’m actually not sure what changed them. I do have a fair amount of Custom CSS coding on this site, but I’m not seeing anything that would have caused this issue. Any ideas would be, as always, very much appreciated!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Try the following in Custom CSS:

    .woocommerce ul.products li.product a img {
        width: auto;
    }
