New update makes editor lack functionalities – urgent

The Editor before the latest update included so many options:
text size
alignment
color and background color

for some reason, the editor after the update became like the basic text widget, and lacking all the great options it had

How can I fix it?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Nir Harpaz

Can you try following our general WordPress plugin troubleshooting guide? From the sounds of things, this might fix your issue. Here’s a video on the process:

The first thing to check is your browser cache. Try clearing your browser cache, and then refreshing the page to see if that helps.

Next, you can try running a plugin conflict text. You can start by disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hi Alex
    thanks for the response
However, perhaps disabling the plugins and clearing browser cache did do some change.

I managed to figure out that the new update hid many of the functionalities under Toggle Toolbar button which I haven’t noticed.

    before

    now:

The 2nd problem that is still unsolved is that the top menus (like the ability to change format or alignment of the text) are missing.
for instance, if I didn’t look up the web that alt+shift+J means ‘Justify text’ I wouldn’t be able to do it from the available menu.

Will appreciate your help in restoring them

    Hi Nir,

The Justify button was removed in WordPress 4.7 (reference) To add it back, I would recommend installing TinyMCE Advanced and navigating to WP AdminSettingsTinyMCE Advanced and moving it back to the toolbar.

I’m unsure what format options you’re referring to. To clarify, the now screenshot is how the editor in WordPress looks like. Regardless, you might be able to add it to the editor by using TinyMCE Advanced.
