I just installed the Vantage Theme (premium version) and have a few questions. I’m not a ‘web design guy’ so please be patient with these questions.
1) I am trying to use Circle Icons in my menus but the I don’t have the ability to add them. According to the documentation displayed here:
For pages in your menu, you need to tell Vantage which icon to use. Navigate to Pages. Select the page you wish to assign an icon to. In the page editing interface, you should see a metabox called Menu Icon.
I don’t see the metabox called Menu Icon.
2) I don’t see where the values for Site Title and Tag Line are being displayed in the site. I have tried different values and never see the information.
It’s pretty simple go to appearances, then go to home page. At the top you have to turn on your home page if it is cut off. From there you go to each section and customize it.
Did this help you Randy?
For the first question I found the spot on the Pages area.
For the second question, which I think you were answering, I have a Home page turned off, so that is probably why I am not seeing it. I am defaulting to showing my blog posts for the landing page.
That is correct. Sorry for the late response.
Hi Randy
Thanks for running Vantage. Thanks for your answers Rai.
Glad to hear you found the Menu Icon metabox in the page interface.
If you head to Appearance > Themes Settings > Logo and delete the logo that is added there, the site title will take effect. Vantage doesn’t render the site tagline. You can add Support Text to the right of the logo under Theme > Settings > Logo: Support Text OR remove that text and add widgets as required to Appearance > Widgets: Header.
Thanks Andrew. I will look into this information this evening.
For sure – all the best with your site build.
