Hi, I installed Unwind and the appearance of my site does not look like the demo of Unwind? What actions do I need to take for this to happen? If I recall when I activated North theme, it looked just like the demo on my site. Maybe I’m misremembering? Anyhow, any guidance you can provide is appreciated. Unwind demo is beautiful and looks exactly how I’d like my site to look. Can you get me there?
PS – this is on a fresh install of WP, and I’ve already activated PageBuilder, WidgetBundle, and CSS. Thank you!
Hi Campbell,
Here’s a list of the plugins used on the demo site:
Jetpack Featured Content the slider at the top of the page (more info)
SiteOrigin Social Media buttons (included in the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle) for the social buttons in the navigation
Instagram Slider Widget for the Instagram photos in the sidebar.
Jetpack Social Media Icons for the social media buttons in the sidebar
Jetpack Sharing.
Recent Posts Widget Extended for the recent posts section in the sidebar.
Thanks for the guidance, Alex. Can you just clarify one thing for me? Since I have no content added yet, do I simply begin creating Pages/Posts, and the Home Page will begin to populate the Recent Posts feature of the base theme. I guess the question is, how do I get rid of all the info on the home page which is pre-populated by my domain host?
Hi Campbell,
Basically, yes. Without any posts, there’s basically nothing for the content slider or anything else like that to show.
Regarding the host related data on your domain, do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?
Thanks for the additional info, Alex. The URL is http://www.slowviking.com. I believe the content there is simply autopopulated by the host until a home page is added. Let me know what you think. I’m going to add a few content pages tonight to make sure they’re picked up by the home page and will keep you posted. Thanks again for the helpful support.
Adam
Hi Adam,
Ah. Okay, yeah, that data is automatically added. To remove it, please navigates to WP AdminPostsAll Posts and remove the WordPress Resources at SiteGround post.
