Need Tips for CSS/JS Minfiy (Google PageSpeed)

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

My site is scoring very poorly on Google’s PageSpeed Insights. I keep trying some of the more popular plugins to minify css/js, compress html, compress images, move render-blocking js to the footer, etc., but they are either not causing a change in my insights scores or they are completely breaking my site. I have spent two days testing different plugins.

I guess this is going to be trial and error, but I thought there may be plenty of users of Vantage who have found a workable solution to improve their scores.

    Hi Chris

The latest version of Vantage has an option under Appearance > Theme Settings > General to move theme JavaScript files to the footer, perhaps check that is activated.

I haven’t tested it with Page Speed but perhaps it’s worth a go:
