Hi, I tried CSS for appearance from other posts and they did not work.
I want my menu of top of the slider – LIKE THIS SITE – http://www.yoursdhome.com/ – they are using the Vantage theme.
My site (very raw in works) – http://bed.5a8.myftpupload.com/
Thank you very much!!
Hi Robin
You’ll need to use a child theme to do this. Here is one you can try:
https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/vantage-child-slider-before-menu.zip
1. Download the ZIP file.
2. Install via Appearance > Themes > Add New: Upload Theme.
In addition, please see: Thread: What to expect when activating a child theme
Thanks :)
Thanks so much. I have installed child theme and the menu is now below the slider. Which leads me to think that it can now be moved to on top of the slider with the proper custom CSS. Can you provide me with that so i may achieve the look of the site here http://www.yoursdhome.com?
I really appreciate this. Getting better slowly but surely.
Hi Robin
Just closing out this thread. Thanks for your patience.
Thread was resolved via email.
Cheers for now :)
I keep trying to post a reply and it doesn’t post.
I appreciate this and I have installed the child theme, which moved the menu to below the slicer. It is my assumption now that I need to add custom CSS. Can you help provide that so that the menu looks like the one at <http://www.yoursdhome.com/> http://www.yoursdhome.com/
I appreciate the help.
Robin
Thread: Navigation on Top of slider
Hi Robin
I believe this thread was worked via email. It would be best to continue the discussion in that email thread as the history, login information etc. is stored there. I’ll ask a member of the team to reach out via email.
Some how this was stuck in my outbox and then randomly sent. This issue is taken care of and I am sorry for my whacky email.
Rob
Thanks for the update :) Glad to hear you’re up and running.
All the best.
