My Website Is Not Working

hi
I purchased the premium version of the Vantage theme, but after 10 days the site had problems and the programmer who works with me told me that the theme has been hacked because the subject is a prerequisite for these problems.
I ask you to please solve the problem since I got the theme . Or to give me back the money.
Thanks .

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Martina

Sorry to hear about this hassle.

To our knowledge there aren’t any current security issues with Vantage. There are however many vulnerabilities with the WordPress core. You might consider Better WP Security or WordFence plugins for the future to help close those gaps.

If you’d like to recall your premium theme number or ZIP download link you can do so from this link: https://siteorigin.com/orders/ assuming you have access to your PayPal email address.

You can either upgrade from the free version using Appearance > Vantage Premium: Already Paid? top right, using your order number. Or download the ZIP from your order confirmation mail and install manually:

    https://siteorigin.com/basics/updating-theme-from-zip/

Either way you should re-install the theme.

Here is the WordPress overview on recovering from a hack situation: http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_My_site_was_hacked.

    Hope that helps.

(If you’ve upgraded within the last 60 days and feel Vantage isn’t the theme for you, please email us on [email protected] with a refund request and we’ll get that processed for you.)

    Hi Andrew,
first of all thank you for your consideration ,
so if I understand correctly the possible solution would be to reinstall the theme (by the way does not include child version ? ) from the control panel and install the plugin for wordpress security?
    thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

For sure. You might need to do more than that. I can’t say what’s been compromised. Rolling back to a hosting backup is another solution.

From a theme perspective, as long as you haven’t directly edited code in theme files you can move forward with a theme re-install without losing data. Once this is all sorted, yes, definitely get a security plugin up and running.

If you can access your WordPress admin panel you can switch to another theme then delete and re-install Vantage. If you can’t access WP you’ll need to delete the vantage theme folder at /wp-content/themes via FTP or hosting file manager.
