I have a homepage built with siteOrigin on my website, it is still there and if I go to /home I can see it published, but when I access / it is not. I can’t even find it as an option when I go to Appearance > Customize >
, but while doing some changes on my store I replaced it with another page and now I can’t bring it back. I’ve tried going to Appearance > Customize > Home configuration > Main page drop down menu. How do I get back live on my / page??
Hi Mavi
Is there perhaps a Home page available somewhere in the Pages list in WordPress?
It is not, that’s why I haven’t been able to bring it back.
If you’re using Vantage you can try going to AppearanceHome Page to see if there is a copy stored there but not enabled.
Under Pages you can check Drafts and also the Bin/Trash to see if the page has been deleted.
The page still exists, but it's not enabled. If I go to Appearance > Home page I can't see the copy stored, it shows up as if there was no homepage built.
If the page exists, it should be available to be assigned as your home page under SettingsReading. If the page isn’t published, it won’t appear in the Homepage list of pages to choose from. If you can’t find the page under the Pages menu item in WordPress and the page isn’t in the Trash then it might be worth chatting with your hosts to find out ifthey have a recent restore point. I’m not sure why the page would be displayed on the site front-end but unavailable in the admin. You’re welcome to send a link to your site so we can take a look.
