My background colour dissappeared after a testomonial upgrade

By dkabi, 8 years ago. Last reply by dkabi, 8 years ago.

Hi,

I was just doing a simple testemonial upgrade and my background colour just dissappered?

I have homepage insightoffice.dk

The 4 boxes I have called @nt Text, iGlobe CRM, Office 365 and ServiceSuite has a greyish background colour. This should be the same in the white area and I do not know where to fix this?

It is probably just a quick fix in one file I think but can you help me find the right place and the colour the background in the boxes are?

Thanks in advance for a quick answer.

/Antonio

    I have found out that I use the greyish background picture in my \vantagage\style.css file and this has not been changed?
    I think it happened just when I upgraded the sitorigin plugin. Can not be anything else.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi dkabi,

    This widget isn’t a SiteOrigin widget and while I can help you you’ll get much better support from the official Testimonial Rotator forums. Would you still like my help?

    Hi Alex
    Maybe I have explained me in a wrong way. The background I am reffering to are in the Vantage template and that is your plugin. :-)

    It has always worked and the plugin I have upgraded is the testemonial correct but also the site origin ones who has the background in my style.css under Vantage Theme. Therefore I think maybe it has something to do with yours Alex?

    Let me hear from you again.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dkabi,

    Sorry, you’re right. I misread misunderstood your post. To add the background color to your SiteOrigin Features widget open up the widget, and head on over to the widget styles on the right side of the screen. Open the design group, and select a color for the background. Input #808080 so it matches your sliders gray. Please note that your icon images aren’t transparent so the background will remain until the images are edited.

    Hi Alex

    Thanks for quick answer again and sorry I am bad to explain what I need. Think we should have that #808080 somewhere in the Vantage theme in general because it is not refered to one box it is the background in general where we have white colour in both sides I want it to be the greyish one.

    See enclosed filse here explaining it.

    Instead of the white colour in the background
    example

    I want this greyish part and this is in the theme Vantage and not in the widgets there the greyish background are ok.
    backgroundwanted

    Hope you see what I mean :-)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dkabi

    You can accomplish this using a theme setting. In your WordPress admin, navigate to AppearanceBackground. You’ll be presented with the WordPress customizer, click background image and uploaded / select your intended background. Background repeat must be titled for the desired effect.

    Hi Alex

    I do not have the option Background under Appearance?

    Se my options here:

    Background

    I do not get the WordPress customizer so how to continue?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dkabi,

    What version of WordPress are you using? The WordPress Customizer was introduced in version 4.3 so you’ll require that version to make use of the background. If this is the case, and you’re unable to upgrade for whatever reason (which hopefully isn’t the case); I’ll tell you how to do this with CSS.

    Hi Alex

    I enclose so you can see how it looks in my control panel:

    Capture

    If you see it says 4.0.10 with Vantage theme but last time I updated my Vantage theme there was a lot of errors so I am not that fan of doing it again :-( I do not have a test where I can try to update without doing it live and before that is up and running I think you maybe at first could tell me the CSS way?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dkabi,

    Sorry that was a mistake on my part – wrong theme. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Just add the following code.

      body {
      	background: url('http://insightoffice.dk/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/bg2.png') !important;
      }

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
