moving content from one page to another.

Can I move a PageBuilder row with its widgets and content from one page to another, or from one post to another? Or can I copy PageBuilder content from one page or post to another? I don’t mean the entire content, but rather a couple rows.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Michael

    Thanks for running Vantage.

Besides the Prebuilt Layouts functionality this is unfortunately not yet possible.
(Using Prebuilt Layouts (the paintbrush icon) you can replicate pages / posts already built with Page Builder)

Sorry we don’t have more just yet.

    Hi Andrew,

I would like to do this too. In the meantime is it made possible?

    Cheers, Martin

This would be a GREAT feature.

      Hi Eran

Unfortunately still just moving entire posts/pages. I’ve marked this as a feature request. Page Builder is being developed continuously, I’m sure we’ll see improvements in this area moving forward.

New to WP, SiteOrigin and PageBuilder but ran into this almost immediately so definitely add another vote for this being a “priority” feature. :-)

    Regardless, great stuff!

      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi Steve

You can clone pages/posts using the Prebuilt button in Page Builder. Just a reminder if you haven’t yet seen / used that.

Otherwise, thanks, request has been noted.

    Hi Andrew,

Thank You for this Awsome Plugin.

+ 1 for the priority feature ;-) Allow to copy content ( One or couple rows) from one page (or post) to another!

Maybee a Drop down menu in each row to “copy to selected content” (Last drafts created and published pages) to send it at the bottom of the destination selected (in order to let time for editor to put it where it should be without showing at the top of a page already published).

    Looking foward,

    Best regards,

    Julien

      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi Julien

Thanks for your feedback. We’re definitely heading in this direction, unfortunately nothing out in the world yet.

Greg is wrapping up a post types plugin that is going to leverage Page Builder and really up the content management power of the plugin. That should be out in the next couple of weeks.

I’d love to see this one too.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hey everyone :)

A sneaky workaround for the moment would be to do this:

    1. Create a page and build out your template layout. This page can be privately published so it’s not available to the public.

    2. To insert it into a part of another Page Builder page, use the Layout Builder widget.

Let me know if you have any questions :)

+1 from me too. My situation is a bit different and the workaround doesn’t work:
My client works on a test-site and now she has to rebuild posts on the live site when happy about them. I would like to be able for instance to push an export-button to download an xml/json/whatever-file and import that in a post/page on the live site.
Any chance of a feature like this, coming to Page Builder?

      Hi, I Work Here

You can do this right now, well you could, if we weren’t experiencing a bug with the import feature! I’ve got the bugged logged, our developers will resolve in the next 1-2 weeks in the next version.

      1. Click Pre-built.
      2. Import/Export in the left column.
      3. Download Layout (bottom right.

This downloads the layout as a JSON file. Unfortunately, import seems to be stalling at 100%.

We haven’t had a user confirm this bug but I ran into it this week during testing. Perhaps you can confirm for us?

Wow, I overlooked that feature! I tested it with Firefox DevEdition 42.0a2 (2015-09-21) on Mac OS X 10.10.5 (14F27) and it’s working perfectly. Downloading is working fine, import as well.
Thanks for pointing this out to me!

    Hi, I Work Here

Awesome :) Thanks for confirming for us.

This should be made to work through actual drag-n-drop. Hands up who does not work with two or more monitors?

Now imagine you drag from left monitor a single row or widget and drop it onto the completely different page opened on the right monitor? Possibly in the different site too.

BTW :) One could use “Duplicate Post”, or some such WP plugin.

My idea/suggestion is different. And would also make SO Page Builder really unique.
