Mova my site from local to distant with duplicator

Hello,
I’m having trouble (I’m not the only one obviously) to move my site from my local env to my prod environement.
I’m using Vantage premium and duplicator!
However I did it on the site at the begining, and all was ok. Since then I’ve added many widget on my front page, and this page is blank on the prod site….
I use duplicator, and tried to export through wordpress the home page and re import it in the prod env, but it’s not ok either.

However If I move the site to another dev env, it works….. How can I solve this.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Eric

Unfortunately most of these duplication/cloning plugins do not work on 10-20% of WordPress Installations. This is usually down to the Hosting configuration. The one I have had most success with has been WP Clone

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-clone-by-wp-academy/

This one takes into account that the Site URL and WordPress URL may change between the environments so prompts for the new ones before beginning the restore.

Please give this one a try and let us know how you get on.

In the mean time, I was wondering if the fact that mysql is not local on my prod server might be an explanation?
I'll try WP clone tomorrow, my day is over now.

Could you remove My signature from the above answer?

I wanted to add a finding! Using duplicator and WP clone I ran onto a probleme where no one was doing the trick! I started to investigate and finaly find that was an encoding problem that occuerd at some time! Now usiing duplicator and telling the encodage in the advanced option when alunching the isntaller, telling the encodage from my origin and of the destination. And it works!!
    Hope it will help others!

    Hi Eric

Apologies for the delay. I’ve removed your signature.

Thanks for sharing the encoding feedback, much appreciated.

    All the best.
