Mobile view for Unwind theme

Hello,
I’m using the Unwind theme for http://www.galeriemiranda.com/
Everything is clean on desktop or tablet but the mobile view isn’t working properly : a link “skip to content” appears first (linking to nothing) and then “Home”, then a sort of menu pic that don’t extend, don’t work.
I red different posts related to similar problems, did desactivate the jetpack plugins, empty cache but now I’m a bit lost…
Could help me, please,
Delphine

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Delphine

Thanks for posting your question. Perhaps try viewing your site in a private browsing tab or log out of WordPress. Does the mobile view look normal? All looks as expected on the home when I view the site in mobile view.

Thank you for your answer, the view in a private browsing tab is fine indeed (but not on another phone in a public tab). The problem appears on Iphone (public browsing tab, Safari) after any update, whether I’m logged in or out. Have you already heard of this? It’s a real problem as I update the site very often and people usually use their phone to find and come to the gallery. Is there a way to send you a screenshot? It would be maybe more clear,

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the update. It seems like the site loads normally at times and then loads without the theme’s stylesheet and other assets at other times. Perhaps try a quick baseline test. Does the issue persist if you temporarily deactivate all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin?

Hello Aaron, first, sorry for the delayed answer. I did deactivate all the non-siteOrigin but Wordfence Security that is really needed as the website has be already hacked once. And sadly, the problem persists., What is “a quick baseline test”?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Delphine,

A baseline test is where the bare minimum of plugins is used (ideally, only our plugins) and a default WordPress theme is used (they all start with Twenty – ie. Twenty Twenty). This allows us to rule out any potentially conflicting plugins or themes and ensures. This test is typically very quick as only a few steps need to be taken to run the test. Are you using an AMP plugin? Some of those plugins handle AMP by sometimes changing to a different (AMP specific) theme on mobile. If you are, it’s not uncommon for performance related plugins to be able run even while disabled so try disabling the plugin within its settings to see if it helps.

If you would like to send us a screenshot. you’ll need to upload the screenshots to a third party image hosting site like Imgur. You’ll then need to reply with a link to the uploaded images.

    Kind regards,
    Alex

Thank you very much! We don’t have a AMP plugin, but your message made me look deeper at Wordfence Security. That was the problem: I deactivated it and and the incompatibility with mobile disappeared. Then I tried another firewall (WP Total Security) and the same problem reappeared.
Do you have a firewall to recommend as we really need one that would be compatible for Unwind with both iOS and iPhone? Or a way (a code change, I could try but I’m not a developper) to customise a security plugin in order to make it work?
    Thanks again for your help.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Delphine,

That’s strange. Wordfence, and related security plugins, don’t directly alter how themes work so I’m not too sure why this issue is occurring when those are enabled. We haven’t received any other reports of this so I suspect another plugin you have installed is conflicting with security plugins and that in turn is affecting Unwind. Can you please try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins except for the security plugin you’re using. Does this issue remain?

    Kind regards,
    Alex

Well, thank you for keeping answering to my never ending quest! Yes, it wasn’t WordFence, as the Iphone view went crazy again without it, one week after I deactived / de-install everything. I will find a developper to help us and post the solution here when/if there is one. Thank tou for your time and support. Delphine
