Mobile Issues Since Update

By Mike Hindle, 4 years ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 4 years ago.

Hi there. Hoping someone can help. Since updating various plugins today I’m having issues with the mobile version of my site.

I have tried deactivating all plugins to try and narrow it down but all are fine other than the site origin ones which make the site look odd when deactivated.

Could it be to do with the page builder or widgets plugin and the new WordPress update that others have mentioned?

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks,

Mike.

Sorry, I guess it would help if I mentioned the mobile issues. Full-width images are no longer full width and the menu button isn’t working…

    Hi Mike

Thanks for reaching out. Have you perhaps made progress since posting? At the moment, I seem to be able to recreate the full-width or mobile menu button issues on the home page on my phone.

Hi Andrew. Thanks for the reply.

I’d not made any progress no but that sounds promising if the issue isn’t showing your end.

I have cleared my internet history on my phone (Samsung) and on both Chrome and Samsung internet it’s still showing the same problems.

    Here’s a screenshot if needed.

    Many thanks,

    Mike.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the screenshot. All seems ok on iOS Chrome. Can you perhaps ask someone you know with an Android phone to confirm?

    Hi Andrew. No worries.

A friend has just checked on their Andriod and having the same issues as myself so it seems to be just on that particular platform.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks, I’ll ask Alex here at SiteOrigin to check when he’s online.

If the mobile menu button is an issue, try testing with all plugins deactivated including ours. If the issue persists, you can reach out to theme support as you would have ruled out a plugin conflict.

    Cheers Andrew.

I’ve tried deactivating each plugin but will try again and see if I can narrow it down some more.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks. If you do a plugin conflict test, please, try temporarily deactivating all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin in one go. You can also try all non-SiteOrigin plugins deactivated + a default theme like Twenty Twenty for a full baseline test.

    Hi Mike,

I’ve had a look and I’m able to replicate this issue. You appear to be facing a general JavaScript issue related to your theme. Based on the time of this, I suspect your theme currently requires the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin. Please try installing that plugin to see if that helps.

    Kind regards,
    Alex

Hi Alex. That plugin has worked perfectly. Thank you so much. Both yourself and Andrew were super helpful.

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi Mike, super, glad to hear you’re making progress. jQuery Migrate Helper will let you know which files in your theme or plugins need to be looked at. You can perhaps take that information to the various authors and request that they take a look.

    Cheers for now :)
