Today I discovered that the search icon to the right in the menu is missing when I view the page in tablet mode. I did a reset of the theme just in case it was due to some setting I’d accidentally touched. When I then started making the settings I want for my site I noticed that as soon as I choose to put the logo in the menu, the search icon disappears from the “tablet mode” (it’s still there in “computer mode”, and in “phone mode” there’s another kind of menu). The menu options are moved a bit to the left to make room for the search icon, but no icon appears. As far as I can recall I did not have this problem before the theme was updated a few days ago.
Missing search icon

Hi Bee
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?
Thanks
Hi,
I’m sorry, but the site won’t be live for another few months so I only have it locally for now.
I’ve tried the following:
1. Set up a new site using WordPress (so all settings are WordPress default settings)
2. Install the Vantage free theme
3. Set “Search in menu” under “Theme Settings”-“Navigation”
The search icon now appears in the menu in both computer and tablet mode.
4. Select “Logo in menu” under “Theme Settings”-“Layout”
The search icon now appears in computer mode, but not in tablet mode.
5. Unselect “Logo in menu” under “Theme Settings”-“Layout”
The search icon now appears in the menu in both computer and tablet mode.
No worries. Thanks for the update. I see the problem and will correct in the next update which will be out next week.
