Missing Icons (for example: Scroll To Top Arrow)

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hello there,
I bought the Vantage Premium package. I am newbie in wordpress area and have a bite tested. Unfortunately, the icons (including the search magnifying glass and the Scroll To Top Arrow) will no longer appear to me.
What is wrong and how can I fix it? Thanks in advance.
Tom

    Hi Tom

    Thanks for reaching out.

Please, do a quick test for us. Temporarily disable the plugin “Users Ultra” and see if the problem resolves.

Let us know that goes. Thanks :)

    Hi Andrew,

thanks for your kind and prompt reply.

I have completely deleted the plugin, but unfortunately everything is the same.
Should I delete the theme completely and reinstall? But then I probably buy the upgrade again, right?

Thanks in advance and greetings from Germany.

The plugin in question was also loading the Font Awesome library which is why I wanted to test with it de-activated. Now I’m not sure what the problem is.

Can you perhaps do a quick plugin conflict test. Temporarily de-activate all non-SiteOrigin plugins and re-test. Only if the issue is resolved, turn your plugins on one by one, to find out which one is breaking the icons. If the problem is not fixed by turning off non-SiteOrigin plugins then you can just re-activate them all at once as the test has failed.

    Thank you for your suggestion.
I have all plugins disabled – but it has unfortunately not changed and solved the problem.
    Perhaps completely uninstall the Theme?

Yes, let’s do that. Replacing your stylesheet fixes the issue. To re-install, follow these steps:

    1. Download the Vantage premium ZIP file:

    2. Re-install by switching to another theme, deleting Vantage and then uploading the new ZIP from Appearance > Themes > Add New: Upload Theme.

    It should resolve the challenge.
