By djgb58, 8 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 8 years ago.

Hello Andrew,
Made a new site in xampp then uploaded it to live site after finishing it but now Google map will not show on the contact page tried everything but nothing “can you help”
The site is http://www.devonwildlifemanagement.com/contact-us/ and it was built on Vantage Premium.
Have disabled all plugins and bit by bit test it still no joy.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Djgb58,

As you’re a Vantage Premium user, you’re entitled to priority email support. If you would like to make use of that, please follow the instructions found on this page. Please reference this thread.

It looks like you’ve worked this issue out. Is this the case and if it is, was it an API key issue?

    Hello Alex,
Yes turns out it was the API key but it took a while for it to kick in as I entered it 2 or 3 times before it worked.
Thank you for your reply anyway Alex top man.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Djgb58,

Ah okay. Sorry for the delay on the reply mate. :(

I’m going to reference my typical reply for the API issue just in case anyone else is reading.

This is likely due to a Google update that requires API keys to be used from now on. For more information please refer to this post.

Basically, to resolve this issue you’re going to have to add a Google Maps API key to your SiteOrigin Google Maps widget. In the next version, which should hopefully be released very soon, we’re looking to enforce the API key requirement. :( To create an API key please navigate to this page and click the blue “Get a Key” button and follow the prompts.

    Hello Alex S,
I also have a map on another site I did recently http://www.ebringtonlodge1847.org.uk/ but didn’t input a key “will that still work without a key”?

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi David, (I can’t believe I’ve been ignoring your name – sorry!)

It’s basically only a matter of time until that falls over and stops working. I would preemptively add an API key to ensure as little downtime as possible. Ideally add it when you expect there to be next to no traffic.

    Best wishes
