Meteslider resizing several times when a page is loading

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hi,

I’m having a small issue with my homepage : for a few hours, the metaslider used in your theme seems to be resizing a few times when the page is loading (it’s showing in smaller sizes, then resizing to full width) . It may be hard to noticed because the page is loading fast enough, but it’s causing an annoying “blinking”. If it’s of any use : lately i’ve been trying to optimize the speed of my wordpress and i’ve been tweeking with gzip and cache options, but i have disable everything i’ve done without any results.

On a more positive note, i’m satisfied with your theme and plugins. They are efficent and easy to use, i would never have been able to sth i like without them !

Kind regards,

Julien

    Hi Julien

    Thanks for reaching out.

The way Vantage achieves 100% width does, unfortunately, cause a jump in size. As you mentioned, it’s only really noticeable as your connection slows a little. There isn’t a hotfix for this. You can however try the alternative which is to go to Meta Slider, click Advanced on the right and select 100% width there. Then in Theme Settings > Home turn off the default Vantage stretch function.

Meta Slider won’t restrain the height like the Vantage function does but it’s worth looking at as an alternative.
