Meta Slider widget breaks header

I’m trying to add a Metaslider widget to my Header Sidebar. When I do I get an incorrect header layout that varies wildly by browser.

I have screen captures from three browsers here.

I am using the most recent Meta Slider version 3.2.1 on WordPress 4.1 with the Vantage Premium Theme.

Note that I’ve removed the Meta Slider from the live web site at this time. The goal is to have our logo on the left, a membership button on the right, and a centered Metaslider in the middle.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Todd

    Thanks for reporting.

    The header combined with these particular widgets unfortunately brings up a few challenges at the moment.

    Insert the following under Appearance > Custom CSS:

    header#masthead .hgroup #header-sidebar[style] {
    	padding-top: 25px !important;
    	padding-bottom: 25px !important;
    }

    That’ll help somewhat.

    It might better to try this same combination with the:

    SiteOrigin Slider Widget
    and
    SiteOrigin Features Widget

    The Features widget is an evolved Circle Icon widget. Both are part of the Widgets Bundle, this will hopefully provide a better result:

    We do our best to gracefully degrade features with IE8. Meta Slider not rendering there might be a problem with the slider itself.
