Meta slider not whole page width

By canada1005, 8 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 8 years ago.

I bought the upgrade to the vantage theme which I love however I can’t get the homepage slider to go across the whole page. I have tried all the settings but it makes no difference. I am using beaver page builder sonperhaps that is the issue However when I switch to site origin page builder the page does not display correctly. I have had to go back to using the merlin magazine theme but I’d rather use the Vantage theme. My website is https://eastleighcomputerrepairs.co.uk Any helpful suggestions on how to fix would be much appreciated thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Canada1005,

I don’t actually see a Meta Slider on the linked page. It should be noted that Merlin appears to have a max-width enforced which would prevent Meta Slider from being the full width of the page.

I’m not using a slideshow on Merlin because of the page width limitation but I would like one. I have another website using the Vantage Theme http://www.cappersindependentfunerals.co.uk/ which works fine. When I try to change the Merlin Theme to the Vantage Theme the slider just doesn’t go full width on the https://eastleighcomputerrepairs.co.uk which is what I would like.

    Hi Canada1005,

Very sorry for the delay. So to make the image slider full width you just need to adjust a theme setting (Stretch Home Slider). If this doesn’t resolve the issue I would need to inspect the markup of the website (as in with Vantage enabled) so that I can see what is preventing it from being full width.

Regarding Stretch Home Slider: Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceTheme Settings and then set the Stretch Home Slider setting as stretch. For more information please refer to this page.

Beaver Builders data is not compatible with SiteOrigin Page Builder (and vice versa) so it makes sense that you didn’t have the same data.
