I’ve started to build a website with the free version of Origami. The Gallery is visible on the Mac I used to prepare the website but does not appear on my iPad or iMac or iPhone. The word ‘Gallery’ appears but not the dropdowns. There are three pages of images on the site (www.bobgates.uk) but none of them appear anywhere other than the iMac. Any ideas please?
Thanks, Bob
Hi Bob
Thanks for posting.
Have you perhaps made progress? On a tablet, the gallery drop-down appears after a single tap. On mobile, the gallery drop-down can be accessed by tapping the right arrow next to the word Gallery. The content appears to be the same when I view it on various devices.
If you aren’t going to add content to the main galleries page, ideally, that should be a custom link so users can’t go to it. Here is how to do that: Thread: How can I remove the link from my top level menu item?
Thank you for that quick reply Andrew. The mobile is now working as you describe, but on the tablet the dropdown appears and then disappears after about one or two seconds – not enough time to click the required page. Maybe it’s my iPad that’s getting old!
Thanks very much for your help.

Hi Bob, if you follow my quick guide Thread: How can I remove the link from my top level menu item? the drop-down should function as expected. This is assuming you don’t need a galleries overview page and just want a top-level menu item.
I ran a quick test on the SiteOrigin demo under the Galleries link: https://demo.siteorigin.com/origami/. The behavior is different from your site. Please, could you try testing the Galleries link on a mobile device/tablet after deactivating all plugins? Temporarily deactivate all plugins and then test the issue to see if it persists. Thanks :)
Thanks Andrew.I deactivated all Plugins and the images vanished so I re-activated NextGen Gallery and Photo Gallery and all the images re-appeared. However, the contact form has disappeared as I have deactivated WP Forms Lite!
Thanks for your help.
Bob
Sorry Andrew, forgot to say, yes all was working perfectly with the menu on a tablet and mobile.
Thanks for running the test. Once you have a working baseline established with all plugins deactivated, reactivate your plugins one by one, checking the problem after each action. That way you’ll hopefully find the conflicting plugin.
Thank you so much for your help and advice Andrew. I have run the tests you suggested and the culprit appears to be a3 Lazy Load by a3rev Software. I don’t even know why I have it in the first place! Anyway all seems well now without it. Again, thanks so much for you patience and help.
Best wishes, Bob
Hi Bob
Thanks for letting us know about the issue. I’m glad to hear the menu behavior is back to normal. If any questions arise in the future, feel free to open a new thread.
Cheers for now :)
