max width for both masthead, header, and footer but not body container

I tried both boxed and full-width. I like boxed because it doesn’t consume the entire upper fold like full-width does. How can I use boxed but set masthead to full-width?

Thanks.

    Hi AVWebmaster,

    Unfortunately, it’s not possible to use the boxed layout and selectively adjust the masthead and footer width, you’ll need to use the full width layout. If that’s okay, you can do this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Add the following CSS:

    body.responsive.layout-full #page-wrapper .hgroup.full-container,
    body.responsive.layout-full #page-wrapper .site-footer .full-container {
    	max-width: none;
    }

    How does that look?

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.

    Hi AVWebmaster,

    I’ve had a look at your website on mobile and the provided CSS looks to be working without issue on mobile. Can you please provide me with a screenshot of what you’re seeing? Please note that we’re currently unable to process attachments so you’ll need to upload the image to a third party image hosting site like Imgur or vgy.me.

    Perhaps just a link will help:

    Hi AVWebmaster,

    Unfortunately, what you’re experiencing is expected behavior as that’s how background images work. You can avoid this by navigating to WP AdminAppearanceCustomize, Theme SettingsLogo and set the image as your Logo. If you would like to avoid the spacing on the sides, you’ll need to separate your logo into two images – a masthead background (the US Flag) and a logo (the emblem and text).
