Max mega Menu remove menu link to page??

Hi

I am using the Vantage theme and the Max Mega Menu plugin which are brilliant

I have been looking at the max mega menu setting but I do not know if what I want to do is possible or sensible. lol

Under the “Contact” menu option I have learnt how to have a drop down screen appear when you hover over the icon.
It shows a contact form, address and a google map etc which is great.

As a user can use the details in the dropdown i.e. send an email I am thinking it is duplication to have a dedicated page / area with the same plugins in so want to see if there is a way I can remove the need to have a link behind the “Contact” option. At the moment I have tried various things e.g. put the url for the home page in but you obviously have the page refreshed.

Your thoughts and guidance will be gratefully received

    Hi Simos

I’m not quite sure how this might change with MMM. Normally, what you’d do is from AppearanceMenus, select your menu and insert a Custom Link, insert a # in the URL field and then once the item has been added, remove the #. I wrote about this topic here: Thread: How can I remove the link from my top level menu item?.

    Hi Andy,

Many thanks for your quick reply.

To be honest I remembered something about the # but not that it could be used like this in MMM.

It seems to work perfectly and just doing some tests with it.

I will have to research more to see if can remove the “down arrow” for that single menu option to save any confusion.

As ever your support is 200/10

    Thanks
    Simos.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the update, really glad to hear that helped.

It sounds like there might be a Hide Arrow option.

    Good luck :)

    Hi Andrew,

Just to confirm that in the settings for the individual menu item within the blue “mega menu” and under setting there is a check box to ‘hide arrow’ Check this to remove the arrow for that menu item only.

My mistake when I was searching for answer was I thought that removed the arrow from all menu items.

Thank again for your help and this is closed now.
