Masthead Background Image

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

Hi Andrew,
one more thing for the Masthead image
the padding for the masthead background image “top” , “bottom” has to be 0 “(zero)
otherwise there is a big gap between the image and main Menu,

Regards
Stan

    Thanks :)

    This is more or less what you’re looking for:

    header#masthead {
      background-repeat: no-repeat;
      background-size: 100%;
    }
    header#masthead .hgroup {
      padding-bottom: 0;
    }
    header#masthead .hgroup h1 {
      opacity: 0;
    }

    However we land up needing to make lots of little adjustments for mobile. Is there any chance you have that banner in layered format? Ideally what you’d do is cut the logo out and save it on a transparent background as a PNG. Add that to Appearance > Theme Settings > Logo and add the wakeboarder part of the image at Customize > Page. Then ping me here and I’d dive in again. That would make your setup a lot more flexible…and the logo would be clickable.

    Just an idea. If this isn’t possible, let me know and I’ll think of something else :)
