Hi!
For the past month or so the Masonry Element Fullscreen Slider have not been working on two of my pages. Is there a way for me to remedy this and get them back up and running without having to start over? Links to the two pages below-
Masonry Element was being used to link to all of my blogs posts on this page- http://www.pinkpolkadotbaker.com/blogposts/
Fullscreen Slider was being used for a picture at the top of this page- http://www.pinkpolkadotbaker.com/about/
Thanks!
Hi Pinkpolkadotbaker,
Based on the error log present on that page you look to have a plugin conflict going on. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Thanks for your response! I disabled all of the plugins other than SiteOrigin and the pages are still not coming up. I’m using the Enfold Child theme right now. Have their been known problems with this before I try a different one? I don’t want to mess things up even more by changing to another theme and then not be able to get things back.
Thanks!
Hi Pinkpolkadotbaker,
Sorry for the delay. No. I haven’t seen any issues with that theme – although this might be one.
Switching a theme temporarily will not cause you any setting issues (as in they will remain intact) unless it’s a poorly programmed theme. In which case you have more to worry about with that theme than a few settings. Doesn’t that make sense?
Hi Alex,
I tried changing the theme and there are still issues with the masonry element and fullscreen slider showing up. I also noticed that my logo that was overlaid on the homepage is no longer there either. Is there anything else I can do to try to fix the problem?
Thanks!
Hi Pinkpolkadotbaker,
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and run some tests? You can create the account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.
This is a private message.
Just set it up- let me know if you need anything else or if you don’t receive the e-mail
Hi Pinkpolkadotbaker,
Ah. So that makes sense. This widget is a theme widget hence why it wasn’t working when you changed theme. Okay so this is going to sound slightly odd. It’s a JavaScript issue with the theme caused by the theme. I know that doesn’t really make sense. :( You should contact your themes support and ask for help with this issue. If they find anything that connects it back to us (very unlikely) I’ll be more than happy to step back in.
I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help. Please delete the account you just created.
Alex,
Thank you so much- this is SO helpful! Now I know who to contact! And thank you for your quick response!
