Map not auto-centering

9 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 9 years ago

Your product is great, but the Google Maps widget (V1.6.4) is giving me some trouble on WordPress V4.5.3. Even though I have the “keep map centered” option selected, the map will not remain centered after a re-size. I have inactivated most other plugins to see if there are interactions, but nothing has helped. In order to learn whether other maps might perform better, I installed WP Google Maps and had both this and your widget placed on the same test page. To my surprise, under these conditions, the Siteorigin map correctly auto-centered. When I inhibited the display of the WP widget, the Siteorigin widget stopped auto-centering. The same behavior appeared with co-display of Google Maps WD. COuld it be that these other plugins load some necessary component that the Siteorigin map does not? I would really like to see this issue resolved because I believe your map is the best.

    Hi MJAP,

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

Also, would it be possible for you to send me an export for this widget? To do this open up the page with the widget and click layout. Then click import / export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.
