Map marker shows in wrong places

I have added several maps of various store locations to a website. But for a lot of the maps the marker does not show in the correct place. The store name sometimes appears an inch or more away from where the marker is.

The addresses are correct and when I go to Google Maps online and type in the same addresses or store names the marker pops up in the exact right place.

    Hi Pilar

Thanks for the wait. I’m not quite sure how we’ll approach this yet. Can we start with a page export? Go to Page Builder > Prebuilt > Import/Export and download the layout. If you could then upload it to your Media Library and send the link. We can then inspect the page locally and try see what’s up.

I’m sorry Andrew, I don’t understand your post. When i go to the Page Builder tab on the dashboard I dont see an option for “prebuilt”. I do see prebuilt when i’m in the actually pages. But event hen there is no way to export or download the layout. The only thing i can do is either clone the layout or import.

i can go to “tools” on the dashboard and then select to export pages but i dont see an option to download only 1 specific pages. I’d have to download all of the pages.

Further, do you mind explaining what the layout has to do with why the MAP is not working?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Pilar

Sorry about this. It appears as if Andrew pasted the wrong question reply here. Our maps widget interfaces directly with the Google Maps API, so we don’t actually control where the markers are placed. We just pass Google Maps the addresses you enter and it does the rest.

It is strange though that the Google Maps website is giving you the correct results.

Can you post the addresses you’re using so we can test this out? Also, would it be possible for you to change the addresses slightly so Google Maps is able to identify the location? Maybe entering a full street address or even geographic location?

    Hi, I Work Here

Aaah, I actually realized what Andrew was asking for now. He was asking for the Page Builder export of the page so that we can analyze things on our side. If you’re not sure on how to do this, then just letting us know the addresses you’re entering will be enough.

    Hi, I Work Here

I’m happy to say that we’ve fixed this in our development version, so hopefully we’ll be able to release the fix in the next update.
