i am working with north theme and was wondering if it is possible to make the header layout stretched ,so that the branding logo,menu all fit as page stretched.

You can fix/change this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Just add the following code.
body.responsive .site-header .container { max-width: 95%; }You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.

Glad to hear you’ve made progress. Assuming I can see the screens correctly, you’re after a thumbnail slider, is that correct? We don’t currently have a thumbnail slider widget in the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. If possible, please, could you upload the screenshot to Dropbox or Drive so I can get a clearer picture? Thank you for the reply andrew. Now about the screenshot that i have attached,in that we can see a light background with texts and a vertical dark strip at the begining of the image(please ignore the content in that image,i only wanted the layout to be like this thats y i attched directly how i saw.) i want to create a layout similar to this ,so that important texts can be given that way to attract audience. I tried arranging an image widget with dark strip like image and adjacent to that a siteorigin text widget but i was not able to get a result like in the screenshot. ( in wordpress admin page under pluin we can see somewhat same layout to those plugins that are activated and have updates a blue strip at the begining of plugin bar and a red strip those have updates.some messages like wordpress update that comes in top of page have a yellow strip and some text in it).
You could try making this yourself. If you have SiteOrigin CSS installed or another CSS plugin, go to Appearance > Custom CSS and insert:
.custom-text-box { background: #cccccc; border-left: 3px solid #333333; padding: 20px; }Then, insert a Text widget into Page Builder and edit it, click the Attributes field in the right column and enter a widget class as follows:
You can change the values in Custom CSS, this is just an example.
thank you Andrew for the help. I did not use css editor (i think,using the code in the css editor will apply to the whole site when ever we make a custom text box.is that right ? ) .instead of that i entered the custom css in the custom style field in attribute tab and class code in widget class. i got the result i wanted.
Andrew, is it possible to add such a feature in header menu so that when we click a menu there is a horizontal solid line just below the menu selected and also another color solid line as hover effect when mouse is moved in other menu items ?

Unfortunately, at the moment we don’t have the capacity to assist with the adding custom styles for the menu. Sorry, wish I had more to offer in this regard.
thank you for the reply Andrew. menu customization needs lots of work is that the reason? so i hope north’s menu can also be customized right.
i think the issue is already been addressed before thats why i did not open a new thread i am stuck with this.
i created two rows and gave background color in both of them; to remove the space (white space) between the
two rows i entered the value 0 in bottom margin field in layout and hence the white space is removed
in the first row i added two editor widgets and gave background colour in both of them but there is space in between
i couldnt find any option to change the space between them in layout
That’s right. We do our best to help with small CSS customizations. Unfortunately, tweaking the main menu hover colors and the way that’s handled with sub-menus etc. is more than we’re able to offer on the forums at the moment. We frequently use http://upwork.com/ or https://codeable.io/ if you ever need extra help.
I think the issue may lie in the gutter setting for the row found at Row StylesLayoutGutter: Amount of space between columns. Default is 30px. Have you perhaps tried setting that field to 0?

thank you Andrew for the reply :) . two editor widgets are at same column one just below the other and there is only a option called padding in layout .i tried by changing that value to 0 but did not work. my site is only under construction on local machine and will be publishing soon. so as of now i think i shall wait till its ready .
