Lots of auto-drafts created

Hello!

Every time someone loads a page on my website, be it on the frontpage or in the dashboard, a post is created in the post table. The post has no content, nor a record in the postmeta table.

I’ve narrowed the issue down to SiteOrigin Page Builder, by deactivating all plugins and activating them one by one. As soon as I re-activate Page Builder, the website starts creating auto-drafts.

I’m running WordPress 5.0.3 and Page Builder 2.9.7.

Has anyone seen this before?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Rick,

Shortly before replying, a user contacted us about this issue and ran a plugin conflict. They found this issue was caused by Black Studio TinyMCE Widget. Does this issue occur if you disable that plugin? Please note that this won’t retroactively remove already existing auto drafts so you’ll need to check if new auto-drafts are created.

If you’re not using Black Studio TinyMCE Widget or disabling it didn’t help, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

Thanks for your swift answer. Disabling Black Studio TinyMCE did the job.

    Awesome!

    Hi Rick,

    Great to hear! :)
I would recommend reporting this issue to the developers of Black Studio TinyMCE Widget.
