    Hi Debra

    Thanks for reaching out.

The posts slider is made up of a series of components, unfortunately, copying the file won’t be enough. It’s a small custom development job. You could perhaps try to find a posts slider plugin that’ll do a similar job: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/posts+slider/. I haven’t used a posts slider in the past so don’t know of a particular one to recommend.

Funny the widget is the unwind one with just the loop-slider.php. Mainly because how easy it is to add post id’s and categories without having to use shortcodes.

Guess what we are looking for is the call values for North instead of Unwind. As the WP and Siteorigin template scripts are all pretty much the same, it just a matter of putting in the write call values of the array. That is what we are really looking for.

Yes custom creation is how to do it and will take time, just though someone might know off hand the exact files and changes need to make the loop-slider part of the default North templates like the blog one.

For sure, having a posts slider built into the theme is much easier. I’ve logged this request on the North repo. on GitHub. I’d love to assist with this customization but it’s unfortunately beyond the scope of questions we’re able to assist with. Sorry, I don’t have better news.
