Logo size deadspace

I made the logo 1080 x 136 according to the template and there is a bunch of dead space to the right on the actual .jpg
SO when looked at on a smaller device the logo gets tiny…

is there a way just to re size the logo and not have all dead space?

is there a way to have a different size logo for smart phones?

Thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ray,

There’s sadly no way to have two separate logos.

I would recommend having just the logo be the logo – don’t include the extended background. The logo won’t be stretched if it isn’t the exact sizing so it’s better than it’s the exact size it needs to be.

Hey thanks… right now the logo is 1080 x 136 lots of dead space to the right. if i make the logo smaller it gets expanded to the 1080 space

client say the logo is too small on smart phone. id just like it to appear bigger on smart phone and not another device.

if there wasn’t all the dead space to the right of “company” it wouldn’t get shrunk down so much on small devices.

are there any options within the template to change that? i can copy and past html php and css if that is an option…

    thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ray,

That shouldn’t be happening as the logo is never stretched to meet the full width of the header. I’ve just taken a look at your markup and it confirms this. Please try removing the “dead space” in the logo itself and then changing to that logo. If for whatever reason the logo is stretched, I’ll provide you with CSS to prevent that.

Your right…. when i first started playing around with this template the logo would stretch to 1080?

    Thanks so much.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ray,

I’m not too sure why that would have happened but I’m just glad it doesn’t anymore – it’s not meant to.

linkable to their web sites… not big deal right… accept.

But Page builder doesn’t have a rich-text, text editor like SiteOrigin editor in it? why and how do I?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ray,

I’m kind of confused – why can’t you use the SiteOrigin Editor to do that?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ray,

Thanks for that. So that’s not actually the SiteOrigin Editor widget, that’s the text widget. To clarify, do you have the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle installed? If not, I highly recommend installing it. To clarify, this is what the SiteOrigin Editor widget looks like:

There’s unfortunately, no easy way to center the widget title so I would recommend recreating the title via the editor itself. Then simply use the center alignment option.
