Hello,
I would like to have the most beautiful logo as possible and I have the file in SVG but unfortunately it is not working (i guess it works only with PNG file).
I read that we could use svg file as logo by updating htaccess file. Is that correct? If that so, could you help me with the steps to do that? I am using filezilla.
Thanks in advance for the help.
Regards,
Olivier
Hi Olivier
Try adding the following plugin before uploading your logo:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/svg-support/
Hello Andrew,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I have added this pluggin so now I can see the image of the svg file on my library.
But when I select it as a logo to be in the menu, it does not display. The logo box stays blanks on the home page as if I never put an image there.
Anything I do have to do to resolve this. I can see on the plugin page that we have to add this or similar , but honestly I do not know where to put that. (I should take a MOOC :) )
Thanks
Olivier
Sorry, wrong thread, ignore my last.
Try turning off Jetpack > Settings > Photon. See if that makes any difference.
no, nothing has changed even with Photon turned off
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

Looks like we just need to set a width. I’ve done so at Appearance > Custom CSS, you can adjust from there.
Please, remove the following from Appearance > Custom CSS:
That’s PHP so it won’t work there and can cause problems.
Thanks Andrews,
It was working well after you looked at it, and I wanted to put the last version logo in svg, but since then, the logo is displaying very small even if I didn’t touch your settings (width 200px).
And when I tried to use the other svg logo instead, the one you put, it does not display correctly anymore and it is small again. I can’t understand the reason.
The logo has the good size with the width at 500px but in that case, the menu is completely broken.
Hey Andrew,
I realized it displays fine on safari but not on chrome. I didn’t try with ie or firefox.
SVG logos are, unfortunately, a bit of a hack in WordPress at the moment. The WordPress core doesn’t have SVG support as you’ve seen.
In OS X the SVG logo is display in Chrome, Safari and Firefox although it looks a bit funny in Firefox.
I haven’t had good results in the past trying to set a SVG logo in Vantage. I’m not sure what else we could do in this instance.
