    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Robert

    Thanks for running Vantage.

    If you were using a Search widget in the header widget area, that won’t show up when using Logo in Menu masthead layout as that layout drops the header widget area. But the search icon option will show if you have that checked under Appearance > Theme Settings > Navigation.

    Hope that helps.

    no i didnt have a search widget in the header.

    im just talking about the search in menu when i check it in navigation.

    if i switch my layout to logo in menu, it doesnt show.

    but if i switch my layout to default masthead the search in menu works fine.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Please temporarily de-activate all non-SiteOrigin plugins and re-check the search icon. If the issue resolves please re-activate your plugins one at a time while checking the problem after each activation.

    Hi, I Work Here

    For sure. Sounds like it might be a caching issue.

    i found what was not showing the search icon , before i cleared the cache in my computer

    on vantages styles.css on line 785

    i found this code

    body.responsive header#masthead.masthead-logo-in-menu #search-icon-icon {
    		display: none;
    	}

    i can just display:block , and hide it using @media at a certain width for the mobile menu

    thanks Andrew.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Super, glad you found the problem. Don’t forget to use Appearance > Custom CSS for those snippets in order to make them upgrade safe.
