Logo Gets Cutoff on Mobile – Vantage

8 years ago · Last reply by Jordan Nettgen 8 years ago

Hi there,

I’ve been searching for a solution to resize my logo to fit onto a mobile display, it’s currently getting cut off. Alternatively, I would also be happy if I could use a different (smaller) logo altogether for mobile. My site’s logo is 767×298. The website is d2marketingllc.com

The theme looks absolutely great for desktop, and getting the logo fixed on mobile is the only piece I’m struggling with. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Jordan

    Hi Jordan,

    I’ve logged this as a bug. In the meantime, you can avoid this by setting the logo elsewhere. Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceCustomize, Site Identity, remove the logo. Go up a settings group and then go to Theme SettingsLogo and set the logo there. Sorry about this!

    Hi Alex,
    Thanks for the info. Do you know what the ideal size would be for setting a logo via this method?

    Hi Jordan,

    There’s no idea image sizing. Your best bet would be to manually resize the image to get the desired sizing.

    Ok, the reason I ask it because the exact same image looks blown up and distorted when set via Theme Settings as opposed to Site Identity.

    Hi Jordan,

    Sorry for the delay.

    Does it? Can you please temporarily change it back over so I can inspect the results?

    Sure, I have temporarily set the logo on d2marketingllc.com via Theme
    Settings. As you can see it is looking blown up whereas before, when set via Site Identity, it was the correct size.

    Hi Jordan,

    This is happening due to the following CSS you’ve added to WP AdminAppearanceCustomize, Additional CSS. Try removing:

    header#masthead .hgroup .logo img {
      height: auto;
      width: 1080px;
    }

    How does that look?

    Ah, my apologies! Thank you for catching that, it looks great now.
