Hi There,
I’m in the process of using Vantage (free) to get a basic new website up. I’ve managed to do most things fine, however I can’t for the life of me get the site title to display nicely alongside the logo in the menu.
I’ve tried changing the logo size but it starts to make the menu obscenely deep and unusable
My test site is up at test.allweighs.co.uk. Hopefully you’ll see that the site title is underneath the logo and pushing the menu onto two lines.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hi
Thanks for reaching out.
It’s worth considering changing to the regular header layout. The Logo In Menu layout has very little space for a logo, it suits horizontal logos best. When constrained, your logo is 33px height. In order to easily read the “Weighing Services” tagline in your logo, the logo height needs to be about
200px
. The masthead (header) layout can be changed from CustomizeTheme SettingsLayoutMasthead Layout: Default Masthead. Just an idea. Thanks for letting us know about the Logo in Menu “logo – site title” alignment issue. We’ll have that resolved in the next update.
Thanks for the response. I’ve considered creating a horiztonal logo/text lockup to use instead but this felt like overkill when having the company name next to it would achieve the same goal.
I’m happy for the menu logo text to be unreadable to maintain a neat set of menu options. Ultimately they’ve already arrived at the site already, so we just need users to easily see what company’s site they’ve landed on. Text will communicate this more efficiently than a logo.
Do you know when the next update will be? If it’s soon I won’t bother creating a lockup. If it’s a while off I think that’s the best route to go down.
Thanks again for your help!
Thanks for your feedback, the next update will be within the week.
