Live Editor Quick Link not showing in admin bar

Hi, I am using SO Bento Theme (inluding Expansion Pack) with SiteOrigin Page Builder. The “problem” I am facing is that the Live Editor Quick Link is not showing up in the admin toolbar…
I have the same setup for another page and it works fine. Only difference is that the site is hosted with another provider (working: united-domains, not working: 1und1/Ionos)

What I did so far…
– updated to PHP 7.2 and 7.3
– re installed WP from scratch (also in different folders)
– disabled all non SO PLugins
-checked all settings in Page Builder (e.g. Live Editor Quick Link=Enabled)
– show admin toolbar Enabled (and that actually works just without the Live Editor Button)
– enabled SSL for both admin and preview page

No success so far. What other options can I try?
Thanks for your support!!!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Himmel

Is the page you’re testing on using Page Builder? The Live Editor admin bar link will only appear once the page has been moved over to Page Builder. If you’re using the Block Editor, even if you have a SiteOrigin Layout block inserted, the Live Editor link won’t appear. It’ll only appear if you’re using the Classic Editor on that page and if the page has been moved into Page Builder.

    Oh man…thanks!
I was under the assumption I was already using the page builder (since I unchecked “Use Classic Editor”). Bit confusing however solved my problem and will never happen again.
    Thanks for your support, Andrew!

    Hi, I Work Here

Super, glad to hear you’re making some progress. If you’d like the traditional interface with Visual/Text/Page Builder then ideally make use of the Classic Editor plugin. If not, you can use the SiteOrigin Layout and SiteOrgin Widget blocks in the Block Editor. If you don’t have the Classic Editor plugin installed, you can choose which sort of page to create from PagesAll Pages. Click the drop-down arrow next to the Add New button. There are options for the Add New behavior at SettingsPage Builder. If you don’t have the Classic Editor plugin installed, create a new page and don’t add any Page Builder data then it will default to the Block Editor. If you activate the Classic Editor plugin then it’ll be classic all the time.

tl;dr: If you activate the Classic Editor plugin then it’ll be classic all the time.
